Table Description:
Your presence is requested at the marriage of the Sultan's daughter.
After the long sojourn, you are warmly welcomed and offered comfortable tasseled pillows to recline on while dining as the royal guest of the Sultan.
The table is covered with a beautiful, golden fabric, which has been draped in such a way to remind you of the Sultan's tents. A 'Persian carpet' provides the perfect setting for a wedding feast, served on white porcelain plates embellished with copper chargers.
Mini copper lanterns lend a glimmer of light to the table.
As a reminder of the many palm trees spread throughout the Sultanate, each guests' napkin of deep burgundy and golden trim is accented with a palm leaf and enclosed by copper napkin rings.
A copper fire pit graces the table to provide warmth….not a fire, rather the warmth of family and friends.
The menu cards are written in calligraphy, which originated in Persia, and are in the shape of the many minarets and mosques which cover the area.
At each place setting, there is a pomegranate with the guest's name inscribed on it.
A sweet gift awaits each guest. A delicious cheesecake topped with five almond pieces symbolizes the five blessings that are wished on the newlyweds- Health, Happiness, Wealth, Fertility and Longevity.
The Sultan is honored by your presence and wishes you an enjoyable meal.
