Tips for Managing Pre-Wedding Excitement!Submitted By: Pamela Jones, Paris Mountain Photography There are always a ton of questions about what a photographer does to capture what we like to call "pre-wedding excitement!" We always try to go with the flow, but a little bit of good planning always helps! The photographer should arrive at least 2 hours before the ceremony. That gives us enough time to spend with everyone. Here are some important tips! 1. Have a good timeline so everyone knows when and where they should be. This will help family members, the groom and us have a solid idea of where to go and it sets the tone for the pace for the rest of the day. 2. Have someone answer your cell phone for you. You don’t want to be chatting with Aunt Fran while you are getting dressed. Give your phone to the MOH or someone close by to take your calls and answer any questions for you. She can also coordinate when the groom should hide or come out for photos. 3. Keep the dressing area tidy! You are going to want these photos to look timeless and you paid for a gorgeous bridal suite, why muck it up with a bunch of target bags and trash around the room. The best bridal photos are when the room looks beautiful not like a 15 year old boy’s bedroom. 4. You should already have your hair and makeup finished when the photograpgher arrives, but not dressed yet. This is when we like to take some detail shots of the dress you love so much and I’ll get some great shots of everyone helping you put your dress on too. 5. The bridesmaids and MOB should already be dressed and ready so when we arrive so they can help you put on your dress looking their best… not in sweatpants. :) For more helpful tips please visit my blog.
