To introduce you to our invitations we've included answers to some frequently asked questions.

~ Amanda from Sweet Treats

1. Do you have designs I can choose between and can you match my colors? Would you design one just for me? How does the design process work?

We have over 50 designs you can choose from in display books at Sweet Treat's Covington location and each can be customized to match your color scheme. If you don't find the perfect one in those books or just want something unique to your day then we'll be happy to consult with you (via phone, email, in person, or a combination). Once we learn more about your event theme we'll create your invitations at no extra cost.

2. Why do you suggest RSVP postcards? Do you offer traditional cards with envelopes?

RSVP postcards save money on postage and have a higher average return rate than their enveloped counterparts. Additionally I think they are a fun, modern option since the design itself will be seen over and over instead of a while envelope. If you still want to provide a traditional response card with envelopes for your guests then it is no problem as the only change in package cost is to purchase additional envelopes.

3. I know Sweet Treats has fabulous cakes, but how did you get started making invitations?

While completing my bachelor's degree at Georgia Tech, I was serving as editor-in-chief of the Technique, the student newspaper, and planning my wedding at the same time so I decided to put my graphic design skills to good use by designing custom invites for our event. Everyone loved the finished product which lead to me creating several custom designs for friends. Thankfully I had maintained a good relationship with the print shop I used at Tech so I was able offer custom invitations at incredible prices once word spread when my friends' friends saw my creations. My mom, Pamm Dugan, has been decorating cakes since before I can remember and now she and my sister decorate fabulous custom cakes out of our Historic Covington Square location. Although I mainly meet with brides to design their cake and invitations (and offer any other help I can!), I do decorate cakes as well. In particular I specialize in fondant  detailed carved cakes so visit Sweet Treats to see my work featured such as a guitar hero groom's cake and  Tennessee football helmet!
