5 Easy Wedding Budget Saving Tips

Wedding budgets.  They come in many sizes.  Mainly, lavish, moderate and intimate.  But, no matter the size, most couples are still interested in saving a little something here and there.  To assist those of us who want to do just that, here are five (5) easy to follow wedding budget saving tips.

1.  Wedding Guest List - Keep it small.  More people translates into more money.  

2.  Wedding Flowers/Bouquets - Splurge on the bridal bouquet, be conservative on the bridesmaids' arrangements.  Also, get double duty out of the bridesmaids' bouquets.  When the lovely ladies arrive to the reception, have them place their florals on the wedding cake table.  It is a wonderful way to enhance it.

3.   Wedding Reception Decoration - Candles, candles, candles.  Use them liberally to decorate your wedding reception area.  They are really versatile and go a long way toward creating a warm, inviting ambiance.  Buy them colored, float them in water, wrap them in ribbon, place them on pedastals.  The choices are limitless and inexpensive.

4.   Wedding Design - Tap into your inner creative side and design some of the more DIY friendly elements of your wedding personally.  Not very creative?  Take a scrapbooking class at your local craft store.  Or, just visit one and look around. 

Often times it only take a little inspiration to get your 'creative' juices flowing.  And, you might just be pleasantly surprised at what you can really do.

5.  Focus on the parts of the wedding that are important to you. A big wedding budget buster is the tendency to spend on those things that couples have no interest in whatsoever. 

Yes, you are going to get a lot of advice from those wishing you well.  And, yes, it is nice of you to be considerate of those individuals' wedding enhancement suggestions.  Just be sure that the end result reflects who the two of you are on your wedding day.
