The Atlanta History
Center offers a serene garden landscape in the midst of
Buckhead. The Grand Overlook features Brazilian cherry wood floors and 14 foot windows
overlooking the wooded quarry garden. Our largest space, the ballroom can seat up to 500
people. Ceremonies are often held in front of the fountains of the historic Swan House
with cocktails to follow in the Boxwood Garden. Unique cocktails hours can also be held in
the midst of the exhibits in the Atlanta History Museum. Smaller events may want to look
into the McElreath Hall which includes Members Room, a boutique ballroom with
floor-to-ceiling windows, a sun-lit atrium and the 400 person Woodruff Auditorium. Limited
tables, chairs and free parking is included.
The Margaret Mitchell
House is a unique urban setting located in the heart of
Midtown on Peachtree street. The three story Tudor revival home can accommodate 150 people
reception style and includes access to our multi-level lawn that can seat up to 350
people. Adjacent to house is Commercial Row, a historic retail building featuring
floor-to-ceiling windows and an open loft feel with its exposed ceiling beams. This
recently renovated space is available for daytime or evening rental, with a capacity of up
to 300 people reception style. Limited tables, chairs and free parking is included.

By far one of the most beautiful venues around. The Grand Ballroom offers beauty whether you transform the room to fit your theme/design or just enjoy the beauty of the wood floors, arched high ceiling, chandaliers, and the amazing view of the forrest through the expanse of windows. The staff is so accommodating and pleasant to work with. I know every event that I have at the Atlanta History Center is going to be fabulous!
