The Little Things…Submitted By: Colleen Oliver Scruggs Your wedding is special because it's yours, but there are little things that you can do to personalize your wedding to make it different from others that your guests have attended. Something that says something about you and your fiancé or just that added touch that people will tell others about while describing how perfect a wedding it was. Name Your Tables Instead of Numbering Them! Looking for an example of that little touch to personalize your wedding? If you are having a sit down dinner with assigned seating, here's a great idea. Instead of numbering your tables...name them. There are so many options depending on how creative you want to get. For example, if you are having your reception at a golf club, use course famous names like Augusta National or St. Andrews Exchanging vows on the beach? Name islands, or coastal cities, like St. Thomas, or Newport, RI. Getting married in a garden? Name you favorite flowers. The possibilities are endless. Here are some other ideas:
Keep In Mind... Two things to remember. You will need to make arrangements with your caterer / reception site. You may need to get special cards for the tables with the names printed on them, but as creative as you have been making up names, you may feel adventurous enough to make the cards! Just don't forget to let them know so there is no confusion. Also, when you are purchasing place cards, take into consideration what you will be writing on them. If there is only a space for a number, you may need to look at an alternative card. So get those creative juices flowing and give your guests something else to rave about when describing your perfect day.
