Kristen is one of the first and best choices I have made in the planning process. Not only was it the best, but it was the easiest because the minute I met with her I knew she was going to do a fabulous job.

I have read over and over how important it is to get along with your photographer. You have to "get" each other and click, as well as finding someone who can create the style you want to capture your day. When I met with Kristen Alexander for the first time, we sat down, and started chatting like friends while I looked through her books. Her pictures were photojournalistic, relaxed and simply beautiful. They capture the moment and the emotion in such an unobtrusive way - and isn't that what we Brides are looking for?

Her personality is professional and relaxed, so I was comfortable within 5 minutes of this first meeting. We went over the style of pictures and she told me how she did each one, whether it was a different lens or medium. She answered each question thoroughly and it became obvious to me that taking pictures was a passion for her, not just a job. I was even comfortable enough to tell her that I didn't love the style of one picture she did and she said, "No problem. We won't use that style at all. It's up to you." It was great.

Style wise, I had so many options and wasn't intimidated at all to ask about them. There were black and whites, tons of candids, black and white pictures with the hand coloring technique, color photos and some fantastic different and new styles. Kristen even had some pictures from Magnolia Hall, which I was thrilled about because I could see the location and be confident that she is familiar with the setting. I love talking to her on the phone when I have questions, and I am confident that my pictures will be exactly what I am looking for. Kristen is a flexible expert taking your thoughts and incorporating them into her professional expertise.

Anytime I have a question, she is available, open and answers confidently. She reminds me not to worry about anything. Her goal is to capture all of the important moments and family photos while keeping us relaxed and enjoying every moment.

Other things that were attractive to me were that previews or "proofs" are available 4 weeks after the wedding, and with her Platinum Package, you can keep them. You can also order additional prints, and parents' albums.

And frankly, here is how sold me... She looked at me and said "There are hundreds of photographers out there and everyone offers something a little bit different. Here is what I can offer you. I am going to photograph your wedding as if it was my own. I know what is important to you, because it would be important to me - I will be there and I won't miss a thing."
