Selecting the location was difficult because Atlanta has so many wonderful choices. We knew we wanted something in the city and we wanted to incorporate the city into our wedding somehow. We visited a few places in Midtown and Buckhead but nothing felt quite right. Then, Lei Lydle from AtlantaBridal.com invited me to attend a bridal event with her at The Park Tavern.

My previous apartment was right around the corner from at the Park Tavern and so I used to go there quite a bit. But, I had never been inside their Piedmont Room and I didn't even realize that they had added the Piedmont Garden Tent.

For this bridal event, they had decorated The Piedmont Garden Tent like it might be for a wedding and it was absolutely beautiful. Steve wasn't with me, but I just had the feeling that this would be the place. You've got the backdrop of the Midtown skyline as well as Piedmont Park - in my opinion the perfect way to incorporate the city into our wedding.

At the event, I met with Angela Smith from the Park Tavern and she was awesome. She was very cool, very sweet and immediately made me feel so comfortable with her. To me that was the icing on the cake and I really felt like The Park Tavern was the perfect place.

That night I went home and told Steve about The Park Tavern. We went back together for another visit and he agreed that it was perfect - so we booked the date.

Since then we have been dealing with Ashly and she has been an absolute sweetheart. She set up a full tasting for us and we got to taste almost everything we were considering for the menu. It was really too much food for us to even think about eating and it was out of this world. Everything we tried was fabulous!

For dinner, we selected the Park Tavern's Continental Buffet menu, which is available on their Web site, and an open bar.

We will be having our ceremony outside in the grassy area near the tent with the park and Midtown in the background. The reception will be held in The Piedmont Garden Tent.

The beautiful facility... the setting and the backdrop of the city... the delicious food... the incredible staff... we believe The Piedmont Garden Tent at The Park Tavern is going to be the perfect place for our ceremony and reception.
