Historic Rhodes Hall is a unique venue for weddings (indoor and outdoor),
receptions, showers and rehearsal dinners. The Romanesque-revival style
mansion features stained glass windows and an elaborately carved
mahogany winding staircase. Renter must provide licensed caterer from
approved catering list or may use a licensed and insured “outside” caterer for
an additional fee. May bring in own alcohol. Ample amount of free
parking.
Through a partnership between the State of Georgia and The Georgia Trust,
Rhodes Hall is being restored to its historic grandeur as one of the last of the
great Peachtree Street mansions. The Georgia Trust and those who use it for
special events both have responsibility for the proper stewardship of this
historic property and we ask for your cooperation in abiding by the rules and
regulations regarding the use of Rhodes Hall.
Room Logistics:
The first floor of Rhodes Hall (approx. 3000 square feet) can accommodate
175 people for a buffet/cocktail-style standing reception, using the furniture that is in
place. Setup of additional tables, chairs, musical equipment and other items
provided by the renter will reduce the number of guests possible in the interior space.
A maximum of 100 people can be seated throughout the first floor for a seated dinner,
with the largest room, our Reception Hall, holding up to 50 people for dinner.
Sixty people may be comfortably seated for a wedding ceremony in one
room. Up to 80 may be accommodated by having guests stand at the rear of
the room or by seating them in an adjoining room. Larger ceremonies (over
80 people) are usually held on the front lawn. Most of the events in the spring, summer and
fall utilize both the indoor and outdoor space of the property if seating is required for more
than 100 people. Tents are permitted on the front lawn.
The Parlor can seat up to 30 people. The marble top table in this Louis VX
style room is popular for dessert displays and especially wedding cakes! A
beverage bar may not be set up in the Parlor owing to the silk walls in this room.
Typically, the Dining Room table is used for buffet set-up. The table extends
to 11’ feet when all 9 leaves are inserted. However if the renter would like to
use the dining room for more seating, they could seat 12 people at this table
when extended or alternatively, the table could be used without leaves as a
60” round table. With the latter scenario, two more 60" round tables could be placed in
the dining room making this room accommodate up to thirty
people.
The Library is commonly used for beverage set up. For seating purposes, this
room could fit up to 30 people.
The Den could seat up to 10 people. Sometimes the Den is used for a second
beverage bar, an additional food station, or gift table.
The Front Porch could accommodate another beverage station as well as
entertainment and dancing. Alternatively the porch could seat up to 50 people.
