As a photographer, I feel I literally collect the visual fragments of a story and piece
them
into a meaningful whole. A wedding story often rests on the history of decades spent with
family and
loved
ones, leading to this new beginning...
I remember watching and quietly
photographing a bride as
her
hands fluttered in front of her face, fanning the air while she tried to hold back tears
before walking down the
aisle on the arm of her father.
I remember the joy of another bride as she saw her
fiancé
privately just
a few moments before he became her husband- she took his hand in hers and kissed it,
looking up at him
with complete confidence and satisfaction.
These scenes are the strong foundation
of the story; if
they are
authentically recorded, they are the pieces that tell us later what it felt like to be
present in the cherished
moment.
